Module 1:
Are You Stressed Out And Coming Unglued?

Do you find yourself putting off what you hate to do, but do you also put off what you love to do?

If you’re like most folks, you’ve been so busy building the life you thought you wanted that you’ve become so stressed out and you’ve stopped living life at all.

Has economic fears caused you to put off the life you deserve?

Are you putting off learning effective ways to manage your stress because this recession has you super-stressed out and afraid to make a move?

As you are scanning every line in this e-course, you’ll discover that learning how to manage stress is a very common problem.

But before we go one step further, let me explain exactly what stress really is so you can recognize the signs in your body.

Listen to me very carefully now…

In stressful situations – whether the stress hits you like a ton of bricks physically, intellectually, emotionally, or spiritually – your body releases a hormone called cortisol. It’s produced by the adrenal glands, which lie on top of the kidneys, and it helps you to adapt to stressful situations.

Cortisol is often referred to as the “stress hormone.” And when you’re repeatedly exposed to excessive demands, the brain sends a message to the adrenal glands to increase cortisol secretion. The body responds by providing a surge in energy, while increasing your mental alertness and blood pressure.

The result? That’s where the “fight or flight” response fits in.

Let me emphasize one thing…

We all have different concepts of what stress is.

For some it may be the result of trying to do too much, for too many people, in too little time, in an environment that is too hard to deal with.

When you let go of trying to control an inflexible environment and all the people in it, you stop struggling with the pain of unrealistic expectations. You let go of stress. We can all relate to this.

However the secret of stress management is grasping the concept that you have NO control over the stressors or demands made upon you.

You do have 100 percent control over your response. That’s where the management of stress must start. What’s this got to do with you? Find out in the next lesson of my 5-module stress-busting eCourse…

You are ready to become an expert at stress management, aren’t you?
