Natural Stress Relief Tips: Sunlight Is Great Stress Therapy!

You may not know this, but stepping out into the sunlight is one of the best natural stress relief tips.

The sun gives light and heat that nurtures the earth. It’s no wonder that the power of the sun can make a difference in the mental and physical well-being of people, too!

In fact, the sun is such a wonderful therapeutic agent that it has a name – Phototherapy.

Are you benefiting from the natural stress relief therapy that the sun offers?

It’s not because there’s no sunlight outside, but because you spend too much time inside under fluorescent office lights. You work all day and then go home at dark. The next morning, you leave for work early and basically have little contact with the warmth of the sun.

You have to make some schedule changes to get outside and allow your skin to soak in sunlight.

Instead of parking as close as possible to the office or grocery store, park at the far end of the lot and walk. If you take public transportation, get off a few blocks from your usual stop and walk.

Going outside regularly to let your body receive healing light from the sun helps alleviate the stress that accumulates over time. A slight change of habits can make this possible and enjoyable.

2. If so, what changes can you make to get outside and soak in sunlight regularly?
